Tax Credit Information
The US Biomass Tax credit allows for a 10% consumer tax credit of up to $600 per year on approved fireplace products that burn biomass fuel, such as denatured alcohol, purchased between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
Products that comply with the terms of Section 25C(d)(3)(E) and are listed as “a stove that burns biomass fuel” for the heating of dwelling units, and that have at least a 75% efficiency rating are eligible for this tax credit. The following Brasa Fire brands qualify for the 10% tax credit through 2010 Economic Stimulus legislation.
Submit your purchase receipt and the attached downloaded letter from Brasa with your 2011 tax return to obtain a tax credit of 30% of your purchase price.
