Julie Cohn has lived and worked as an artist and designer in Dallas,Texas for 30 years, creating a modern home and haven with her husband, landscape architect David Rolston and daughter Mila. She lives with favorite objects designed during her varied career, and is surrounded by gardens full of the organic forms revealed again and again in her work. Influenced by 20th century sculptors Noguchi, Calder, and Brancusi who drew their inspiration from primitive ethnic form and crafts, Julie’s work in jewelry has similar roots. Her pieces are about possibilities for layering and stacking to create one-of-a-kind collages or small sculptures that uniquely juxtapose disparate elements with simple elegance.
