Burke Decor is a female founded and led e-commerce home decor company growing across multiple verticals. We’re looking for a right (or left) hand person to assist our CCO with merchandising, creative content production and all around daily tasks.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience with interior design, art, and/or product design
  • Have a can-do attitude: willing to jump in on big projects and small tasks alike and change course 
  • Have a background in merchandising and/or product styling or design
  • Have experience assisting on print, digital and video productions, bring a second set of eyes to every shoot and a keen attention to detail
  • Competent and comfortable conducting visual research
    In addition to a background/education in art or design, this person can think strategically marketing and execute on new concepts end to end. This role will suit an flexible individual who is highly creative, yet analytical, organized, and an excellent communicator.
    Part time to start with huge room for growth for the right person. This is primarily a remote position but you are ideally, located in Los Angeles and available for in-person meetings, assisting with photo shoots and in store merchandising.

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proficient with Adobe Suite (primarily Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, Illustrator)
  • Willing and able to carry, pack and unpack boxes, move set pieces and product
  • Cleaning and prepping props and product for shoots
  • Insure retail environments confirm to brand standards and work directly with retail and product to 
  • Experience creating shot lists, prop lists and prepping for production
  • Basic HTML
  • Strong photo editing skills and familiar with post production workflows
  • Knowledgeable about furniture, lighting, textile designs & styles
  • Proficient with Excel, Dropbox, Google and team based digital workspaces
  • Ability to keep up with our CCO on every project and help in every aspect of the business.

  • THE JOB:
  • Work directly with CCO to assist in content creation, management and scheduling across multiple platforms and for multiple brands
  • Assist CCO with basic admin, weekly merchandising updates, email marketing, scheduling
  • Assist with identifying, developing and deploying online visual merchandising strategies for interior/lifestyle products across multiple brands, (primarily online but also able to assist with planograms and concepts for brick and mortar spaces)
  • Merchandise online collections via tagging, spreadsheets, content updates (within Shopify & Excel)
  • Assist with developing social content to coincide with merchandising and seasonal strategies
  • Assist with product development and launch
  • Project Management, timelines and follow through
  • Asset management & organization, workflows
  • Assist with interior design / sourcing
  • Assist with photoshoots or other productions as needed

  • Flexible self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude, loves to problem solve and own a project from beginning to end
  • Aesthetically driven and deeply passionate about design, art and style
  • Elevated visual sense and familiarity with trends in interior design
  • Willing to jump in on any task, from creating spreadsheets and calendars, to running errands and packing boxes. 
  • Can work independently and thrives on new challenges.

  • DESIRABLE BUT NOT REQUIRED:
  • Proficient with Sketchup
  • Experience with Shopify (HIGHLY DESIRABLE)
